Media Manager: Stock photos
Media Manager is the broadcaster-wide media library — a different part of the system from the per-post photo/video/audio tabs in the post editor (see Media: photo). Photos you save here are searchable and reusable for any future post via “Find stock photo” in the post editor. Media Manager is accessible to everyone, with no special role or setting required.
Searching
Filter by photographer name and by tags (add multiple at once).
Per photo
- Edit — change the photographer name and tags. Photographer name carries over when you link the photo to a post and publish it (the linked copy of the photo gets the same photographer name). Tags stay purely internal — they only exist to search within the stock photo library itself, and never carry over to a published post or channel.
- New post — immediately creates a new post with this stock photo already linked, and opens that post right away in the post editor.
- Download.
- Delete — with confirmation.
Deleting a stock photo is safe for posts it’s already linked to: when you link a photo, Newsroom makes its own copy for that post, so removing it from the library doesn’t affect already-published or not-yet-published posts.
Adding new stock photos
You don’t upload new stock photos from this page itself, but via “Media uploaden” (Upload media) in the menu — the upload form sits alongside those for video and audio. Only JPG and PNG files are allowed. The same minimum dimensions from the per-post photo upload apply here too (set under Managing general settings).
