Media: video
This is the video part of the Media tab in the post editor. See also Media: photo and Media: audio for the other two parts.
Fields
Unlike photo, video has no separate metadata fields (no description, author, or tags) — the only “field” is the file itself; the original filename is shown for reference once a video is linked.
Uploading
- Supported format: only .mp4 (h264).
- The video must be horizontal and have a minimum resolution of 720p (1280×720) — this is checked client-side before uploading; if the video doesn’t meet these requirements, the upload is rejected before anything is sent to the server.
- The page warns if you try to navigate away while an upload is still in progress.
If the upload itself fails (for example due to a network issue along the way, or an error saving it on the server), an error message appears and no video gets linked to the post — you can simply try again.
Find video (reuse)
“Find video” searches the broadcaster-wide video library (Media Manager) by filename.
This button only works once the post itself has already been saved (i.e. after filling in General information for a post) — before that, there’s no post yet to link the video to.
Deleting
A “Video verwijderen” (Delete video) button asks for confirmation before removing the link with this post.
Workflow
Fill in General information first
Reusing video via the search function only works once the post itself exists.
Upload a video, or find a previously uploaded one
Make sure it’s horizontal and at least 720p for a new upload.
