Unfinished posts
“Unfinished posts” is a separate, global shortcut (not tied to one post) that shows all your own posts that you’ve started but haven’t yet submitted for review. From this overview you can reopen a draft post to keep working on it, or delete it.
This overview only shows your own posts — not those of colleagues, even if they also have unfinished posts.
Deleting is a soft delete. The draft isn’t permanently gone afterwards, but it does disappear from this overview right away. You can only find it again via Archive, using the “Deleted” status filter — which requires the Archief (Archive) role. Without that role, a deleted draft is no longer findable for you.
The status of a post after submission
Once you submit a post (this only requires a filled-in title), it disappears from “Unfinished posts” and enters the review queue. Only after approval is a post actually eligible for the automatic publication described in General information for a post. The review step itself (approve/reject) is covered in Review workflow.
